August 28, 2025GATE 2026 registration is now open at gate2026.iitg.ac.in for admission to M.Tech and research programs. Candidates can submit their applications without a late fee until September 28, 2025, while the deadline with a late fee is October 9, 2025. The examination is scheduled to be conducted on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026, in two sessions.
About IIT Jodhpur
Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur, popularly known as IIT Jodhpur is one of the prominent new generations IITs which was established in 2008 in the city of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. It is one of the most prestigious institutes of India with an NIRF ranking of 68. It offers various courses like BTech, MTech, PhD, MBA, etc. Admission to this institute takes place through national level exams like JEE Advanced, GATE, CAT, etc followed by JoSAA, CCMT/ CCMN counselling. Admissions for MTech for this year has closed, GATE applications for 2026 will start from August 2025 and the exam will be conducted in February 2026. IIT Jodhpur B.Tech Eligibility Criteria 2025
The candidates who wish to get admission to the B.Tech course at IIT Jodhpur will have to fulfil the following eligibility criteria:
- The candidates should have appeared for the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination.
- The candidates must have secured at least 75% marks or be in the top 20% in the class 12 examination conducted by respective boards. For SC/ST students, there shall be a relaxation of 5% in this criterion.
IIT Jodhpur B.Tech Selection Process 2025
The candidates for the B.Tech program at IIT Jodhpur are selected based on JEE Mains and JEE Advanced scores.
IIT Jodhpur MBA Eligibility Criteria 2025
The eligibility requirements that the candidates need to fulfil to get admission to the MBA program at SME, IIT Jodhpur, are listed below:
- The candidate must have passed a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent awarded by a recognized institute. The candidate's bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (class 12) or equivalent.
- The candidate must have acquired a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (of all the years/semesters) or a 6.00 CGPA on a 10-point scale or equivalent in the qualifying degree.
- A relaxation of 5% in marks (i.e. a minimum of 55%) or equivalent in CGPA (i.e. min. 5.50 on a 10-point scale) will be applicable for the SC/ST/PwD (Persons with Disabilities) candidates.
- The candidates who are in their final year of programs are also eligible to apply for admission, given the condition that they meet all eligibility requirements and will produce a provisional certificate of completion within two months of joining the program.
- The candidate must have scored a valid score in CAT.
IIT Jodhpur MBA Selection Process 2025
There are two major steps involved in the MBA admission process at SME, IIT Jodhpur:
1. Initial Shortlisting
The first step is to shortlist the candidates based on composite scores. The composite score will be calculated based on the CAT overall scaled score, work experience, and gender diversity. A cutoff will be generated, and all the candidates who obtain the minimum cutoff scores will be shortlisted.
2. Final Selection
Short-listed candidates will have to attend the personal interview round in virtual mode. The final selection will be made based on composite score + personal interview round.
